from HUD:
2024 HIC/PIT Count Submission Deadline Extended to Friday, May 10, 2024 – 8:00 PM EST

HUD thanks you for your continued patience in the switch from the HUD Homelessness Data Exchange (HDX) 1.0 to the HDX 2.0 for the 2024 Housing Inventory Count (HIC) and Point-in-Time (PIT) Count submission process. Given the technical issues with HDX 2.0, HUD is extending the submission deadline to Friday, May 10, 2024, at 8:00 PM EDT. It appears that most issues have been resolved or can be addressed via the troubleshooting steps discussed below. However, HUD wants to give a few more days for Continuums of Care (CoCs) to finalize the submissions. HUD apologizes for the setbacks and will continue to resolve the technical issues as they arise. Given the current status, HUD does not anticipate further extending the deadline.

For CoCs that have not yet started the HIC and PIT Count data submission process, HUD encourages you to begin this process as soon as possible to ensure you can meet the submission deadline. If a CoC attempts to log in the last day or so of the submission period and runs into issues HUD does not anticipate granting a special extension. CoCs should be logging into HDX 2.0 with enough time to submit the data and address issues that arise.
