The January Housing Inventory Count (HIC) and Point in Time (PIT) trainings have been scheduled. See below for a message from our partners at Nutmeg regarding the sessions. The HIC and PIT counts are our annual counts, required by HUD, of
- all beds and units (HIC) dedicated to serve people experiencing homelessness
- Includes emergency shelters, transitional housing, safe havens, rapid rehousing, permanent supportive housing and other permanent housing
- the people experiencing sheltered and unsheltered homelessness (PIT) at a single point in time within the CoC.
- Sheltered homelessness consists of people staying in emergency shelters, transitional housing or safe havens
- Unsheltered homelessness involves people that Street Outreach Programs and Youth Navigator Programs would encounter
The PIT count will take place on January 28, 2025. We completed most of the HIC, with the exception of Rapid Rehousing projects, in October and November. Many thanks for your work on that! The blue underlined text sections below are hyperlinks to register for the trainings. Please make every effort to have the staff responsible for the counts attend the training(s).
