Training Announcement
HUD’s Equal Access rule ensures that all individuals – regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity or marital status – have equal access to HUD’s Department of Community Planning and Development (CPD) programs, shelters, benefits, services and accommodations. As such, it prohibits certain forms of discrimination against lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and gender nonconforming individuals.
CT BOS will conduct an Equal Access virtual training on Wednesday, October 29th from 1 – 3 p.m.
The training will include:
- The requirements of HUD’s 2012 and 2016 Equal Access Rule
- The requirements of HUD’s policy prohibiting involuntary family separation
- CT BOS’s LGBTQIA+ Policy
- Sample Agency Level Anti-Discrimination Policy
- Time for Q & A
