What is the Connecticut Data Quality Alert Dashboard?

The Connecticut Data Quality Alert Dashboard (DQAD) is a data quality ecosystem developed by Nutmeg Consulting and integrated into the CT HMIS CaseWorthy application. This dashboard informs users at multiple organizational levels about the quality of their client data, flags potential issues, and provides step-by-step guidance on how to resolve and understand the impact of these issues.

 

Key Features and Benefits:

  • Real-Time Alerts: Provides up-to-date alerts directly to case managers as they work on client records, offering an “as of right now” view of data quality.
  • Nightly Computation: Alerts are recalculated every night using an advanced, rule-based engine, ensuring fast identification of issues and flexible adaptation to your client data needs.
  • Customizable and Expandable: The system is designed to grow with your organization, allowing for expansion of the types and number of alerts over time, enhancing its utility.
  • Proactive Data Management: By receiving alerts earlier in the client record lifecycle, organizations can reduce the burden of last-minute corrections typically associated with end-of-quarter or end-of-year reports.

How to Use the Dashboard

  • Accessing the Dashboard: The DQAD can be found within the CT HMIS CaseWorthy interface in multiple places:
    1. Default dashboard for most CT HMIS user roles.
    2. Left-side menu under “Data Quality Alerts” or “CAN/211 Dashboard.”
    3. Case Management tab for client-specific alerts.
    4. My CaseWorthy tab > “Data Quality Alerts Dashboard” > “Alert Scorecard (Org)” for organization-level summaries.
  • Navigating and Resolving Alerts:
    • Client-Level Alerts: Each client’s data quality issues are displayed with details and quick links to resolve the issues.
    • Organization-Level Alerts: The “Alert Scorecard” provides a summary of all clients with data quality alerts in the organization.
    • Alerts are categorized by severity (Critical, Important, Informational) and provide clear resolution instructions and fix locations for easy correction of data issues.
