Homeless Verification Form (Simplified and Detailed Views) has been updated
Published: April 16, 2026

Overview

Overview of Change / Small Change Description

We have updated the Homeless Verification Form logic to improve how Current Living Situation (CLS) assessments are calculated and displayed. These changes ensure that continuous homelessness is tracked accurately as a single episode.

Detailed Updates

  • Simplified View (Episode Consolidation): Consecutive months with recorded CLS assessments are now treated as one continuous episode of homelessness.
    • The “End Date” field has been updated for clarity: instead of displaying “Open,” it will now show the Current Date to reflect the ongoing status of the episode.
  • Detailed View:
    • CLS assessments will now display the specific start and end dates for the month they were entered.
    • Example: A CLS entry created on April 4, 2026, will show as 4/1/2026 through the Current Date. Once the month concludes, the record automatically updates to show the full span (ex. 4/1/26 – 4/30/26).
Impact & Necessary Actions
  • User Impact: No manual data entry changes are required. This is a logic update to improve reporting accuracy and visual tracking.
  • Necessary Actions: None.
