Homeless Verification: Improved 36-Month History in Simplified View
Published: October 9, 2026

Overview

The Homeless Verification Simplified View previously required a homelessness episode’s Begin Date to fall within the last 36 months. As a result, an episode that began more than three years ago but continued into the 36-month lookback period could be excluded from the HMIS VOH Snapshot.

This logic has been updated to remove the restriction on the episode’s Begin Date. The Simplified View can now include relevant homelessness history within the 36-month lookback period, even when the episode began more than 36 months ago.

The change applies to both enrollment-derived history and manually entered homelessness episodes.

Impact & Necessary Actions

Users should continue reviewing the Homeless Verification Simplified View and HMIS VOH Snapshots as part of their normal workflow. This update is intended to improve the representation of relevant homelessness history within the 36-month lookback period.

No additional user action is required to implement this change.
