Improved Data Validation for Emergency Shelter Exits
Published: May 14, 2026

Overview

We have implemented a validation rule within the Family Reservation Exit Workflow to ensure data integrity during the client exit process. Previously, the system allowed a “Bedlist Enrollment End Date” to be saved even if it was dated prior to the “Bedlist Enrollment Start Date.” This update adds a logic check that prevents the form from saving if the end date precedes the start date, ensuring all enrollment periods are chronologically accurate.

Impact & Necessary Actions

Users will no longer be able to enter invalid date ranges. If an end date is entered that is earlier than the start date, the system will trigger a validation alert. Users should ensure they are entering the correct exit dates as reflected in their program records.
