Why We Use Zengine

CTBOS has used Zengine, a grants management database, for the past several years as 1) a repository for CoC grant details, 2) to collect grant-related documents, and 3) to keep our grants contacts list current. This last feature is important for many reasons, not the least of which is each agency’s ability to access essential program data in the Renewal Evaluation Database (RED). Reviewing and/or updating your Zengine profile regularly is a requirement for the Renewal Evaluation process and failure to do so regularly may result in a loss of points.

Steps to Review/Update Contact Profiles

CT BOS CoC grant recipients, sub-recipients and providers are required to log into Zengine quarterly to review and update contact profile information. To do so, please take time this month to:

  • log into Zengine,
  • review your profile ensuring it us up to date,
  • make any updates necessary to contact profile information, ensuring the following:
  • Any staff turnover is reflected in the agency primary, secondary and third contacts, plus executive director
  • e-snaps user information is up to date and the agency has at least 2 people who are trained in use of e-snaps
  • Property management information is entered and up to date
  • All titles are accurate
  • and click “Save” so that your review and/or any changes are logged.
  • Please note that clicking Save is required regardless of changes made to ensure your review is recorded in Zengine

New in April 2024

A section was added for agencies to add Property Managers. If your CoC-funded programs use property managers, please add their contact information to Zengine. If your projects use more than 3 property managers, please send an email to ctboscoc@gmail.com with the additional contact information.

E-Snaps Users

Each Zengine Contact Profile requires 2 e-snaps users. Providers must ensure that both users are familiar with e-snaps and can perform necessary tasks such as creating and submitting renewal project applications. For assistance with that, please see the e-snaps 101 Toolkit linked here.
